Another amen to add to Sarah's comment about stress-free finances: if you haven't already done so, try to sign up for online billing through your bank. This allows you to set up payment schedules and then never have to stress about whether or not you paid a bill. Plus, with payments going out on time, you avoid late fees and (hopefully) improve your credit score. Gee, maybe I ought to give online bill paying my Suddenly Frugal Seal of Approval this week. Something to think about....

Amen to all of that. 2008 was also our first fully frugal year (though I started my Suddenly Frugal blog in mid-2007), and our big milestone was cutting back on our spending enough to pay off our car this past summer. That alone freed up $400 in our monthly budget.

I hope you'll consider adding Suddenly Frugal at http://suddenlyfrugal.wordpress.com to your blogroll.

Thanks.
