My little peeps are going as a frog, a cheerleader, and two little skeletons all courtesty of the kids resale store. The only costume I bought new was for the indecisive 12 yr old who procrastinated too long. Even still, we found a cheap cape and some face paint and will turn him into a vampire for Halloween.

How exciting!!! I hope you have a ton of fun with your family!

A few frugal costume ideas my friends have come up with:
-wear all hot pink and tape a flip flop to your shoulder: bubblegum stuck on a shoe
-blue dress with a painted white tube at the top (like a paper towel tube): glass of water
-wear running clothes with a bouquet and veil: runaway bride
-wear a crown, and heart jewelry/clothing: Queen of hearts
-on a plain shirt glue/paint letters, attach a spoon/laddel via string or rubberband or carry it, and put a pot on your head like a hat: alphabet soup

Our little one is going to be a duck this year! She's only 1 so I still get to choose her costumes and since her favorite animal sound is quack quack, it seemed appropriate. I completely procrastinated getting her costume but it worked in my favor because Target marked all their costumes 30% off this week!

Thanks for all the frugal inspiration. We're really working hard to figure out our budget and tighten things up and you have a lot of great tips. Have fun with your family!
