Woot!! Go, you! I love booking tickets… it’s that moment that makes everything feel real. You know you can’t back out now, that (pretty much) nothing will get in the way of this vacation. Congrats!!!

KAREN!!!!! I am so excited to read this! You’re really doing it! And way to keep on budget so far. I love the little things you did to save money (flying on Wednesday, etc.).

I hope you clicked through from Ebates or something first…it’s a little late now, but maybe!

I cannot wait to see your pics and hear all about it. You should get a little object like the Travelocity gnome and take pics with him there. It cracks me up!

Congrats on your trip!
My husband and I have traveled both through Italy and London using deal packages and now we wouldn’t do it any other way. On our Italy trip, they (Air France) made sure we stayed in hotels with a continental breakfast and included our train travel in between cities all for about $1000 a ticket! Amazing!

Congrats! You're going to have a fabulous time! It was smart to spring for nicer hotels and the insurance. There are some real craphole hotels in Europe. Tripadvisor is invaluable.
